I think that XP is better then vista because I dont really like the feel of how vista is and how much it is like the MAC OS. In addition vista seems to always ask you if you are sure that you want to allow every little thing which I think could be annoying. Old games will not work with it because of improper drivers and other things not compatible.

Perhaps when a new service pack comes out they will change some stuff and make it more user friendly.

new service pack has come but still vista sucks to core..
the OS hogs the system memory and is just for aero theme nothing else

vista for now is an eye candy nothing more. It has great GUI but less workability.. xp on the other hand doesn't have those fancy interface but works great on almost all softwares and devices.

For me it will always be XP hands down. I have heard of so many problems with Vista. I also heard that a lot of the software that I am currently using isn't compatible with Vista. There is no sense in me going with a Vista if it won't accept my software. If I need a new pc its going to be an XP.
