Help a Bozo-Windows ME

My PC is dying on it's feet. It is so slow, It's almost like before I had broadband. Is there anywhere on ME where I can see how much memory is being used on any listed application? I'm not too good at the technical stuff but all I do is e-mail and play with photos. I have 64 kb PC with 13.5 GB. Do I need to get a new one??? Any help mucho appreciated.

You should be able able to check the Task Manager in Windows ME by holding the following keys down at the same time: control-alt-delete. Check the Processes tab in the Task Manager for details on memory.

Thumbs up Help A Bozo

Thanks for the reply, Spencer. I have managed to get the Start-up % up from 30% to 67%. However, there are still some programs on the task bar which I cannot identify if safe or not to remove. Would you have any knowledge of DSLMON, WKUFIND, PTSNOOP, REMIND32, MIXER. I'm really not up to speed on this stuff & when Windows ME started to slow down, I did'nt have a clue. Learning fast though!! Jim (in UK)
