Unhappy Window Media issues.

Good Morninig everybody!!

It has been quite a while since I have checked in. For that, I apologize. I don't know If I have mentioned it, but, I recently had a system crash. Of course, I had to reformat and reinstall windows xp all over again. I also have a second hard drive where a store all of my music and movies exclusively. Well, as you know, when you are in the internet, and you load a commercial cd, windows automatically displays information. Info such as artist, album name, title, and so forth. Thru the years, I've built quite a large library of music. Each album entry has its own little icon, where I would just right click and select "play with windows media player" Then, in a split second, the album would start playing. Once again, these are all cds that I bought, OK! Ever since this little problem occured, everytime I try to open any of them to play, It directs me to that annoying display, "unable to display page" thing. Other than having to reload my entire collection again, is there something that can be done to avoid this? Honestly, I an baffled, I have never seen anything like this before. Any help would greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Rick :(

Hmm. That's really rough. I think loading your entire collection again is the only way, because of how Microsoft deals with associating its files. :(
