Ok guys. I have a copy of Windows XP Home and I'm thinking about temporarily installing it untill I can get my hands on a copy of XP Pro SP2 ( I lent it to someone ).
If I install XP Home ( Not SP2 ), will I be able to upgrade to XP Pro SP2 without losing data? |

I know it's possible to switch from Home to Pro, but I wouldn't recommend it. I'd always recommend a fresh clean install when changing operating systems (reformatting, etc.). There's always a chance that you might lose data on the switch to Windows XP Professional, so make sure to backup your data if you do decide to upgrade straight to Windows XP Professional. However, a clean install is the best bet.
