Longhorn's new graphics system Avalon is looking really great. When you press alt-tab the windows scale to a smaller version of themselves and flip over (kind of like a stack of index cards) each time you press tab button.

Yeah, definitely a copy of Apple's Exposé. I didn't even think of that.

ExposŽ isn't quite as pretty looking, but it is gradually progressing...
I'm waiting to see the task bar turn into a "dock" ;) |

Difference is that Expose was first, and in OS X 'tiger' will probably be upgraded... ya know?

just shows the main pro reason for using Mac. When will this feature be available as standard on PC's? 05? 06? another year? 18 months?
I've been using Expose for a year now. don't know how long it's been out. Forward thinking company is Apple. I'm not certain but i read Apple stopped using floppy drives on their computers in 1996. PC's still get made with them, why? |

These days everyone copies everyone.. Not a big deal anymore. You can download a Dock software for XP right now from here, Mobydock. There are some icon sets that you might need, I can't remember the sites where I found them. Just search on Google.

I think copying what one copy does best is probably the best way to become better. If Microsoft feels that something from the Mac is good enough to copy then they should do that. If Apple things something is good enough in Windows then they should do that. That way everyone has an operating system that they prefer that has all the good characteristics of an operating system in it. Of course, you want some way to distinguish between them, but I don't think that there ever won't be.
