Question CDRW drive doesnt work

Hi all
I have a pc and my mitsumi cr-48xcte (cdrw) doesnt read or writ cds anymore but my pc says its working properly. ???
help!

In what way does it not work? What is the computer telling you exactly? Saying the cdrw doesn't read or write cds anymore, but the pc says its working properly, doesn't mean squat.

Is it still under warranty? If not, you can buy a 52x for $20 USD.
