Angry Screen flickers then blacks out

This computer is giving me a huge headache...

I installed my new mp3 player on my computer last week and since then my screen occasionally flickers and then blacks out completely. I'm convinced that there's a conflict between my mp3 player and something else, but I just can't find the source. I've rolled my computer back to an earlier restoration point, but nothing seems to work. At the moment my screen is just fine, but I can bet you that in 10 minutes I'll have to restart my computer again.

Short of using my recovery discs, is there anything else I can try?

Thanks!

1) Uninstall the MP3 Player.
2) Update your drivers.
3) Reboot.

Also, check your Event Viewer (Right Click on My Computer > Manage), and see if any errors are repeating, or occurring during the time of the offense.

Does the screen power up again, or do you have to reboot?

And is it sporadic, or happens whenever you do something?

It appears you may have a problem with the computer monitor (nothing to do with the MP3 player).

It could be that the computer monitor is nearing it's end of it's life span (the flickering and blacking out is one of the signs that your computer monitor would soon need replacing).

I don't think it would be the MP3 player that is doing this. I think your monitor is about to die on you since that is what the majority of monitors do before they bite the dust. If you still think it's the MP3 player then uninstall the software and reboot and see what happens, but I think you're going to have to buy a new monitor soon (either from yours dying or becoming so annoying you just need to replace it).
