Both parties know about the problem, but nothing has been done yet. http://nagoya.apache.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=21579 Last edited by Spencer : 10-09-2003 at 09:17 AM. | | | 10-09-2003, 09:35 AM | #2 | | Senior Member Join Date: Oct 2003 Location: Sierra Vista, AZ, USA Posts: 264 | That's cause McAfee sucks in my opinion. I used to install starband dishes (satellite internet) and that was by far our largest problem. People appearantly like it cause you can download the free trail and it installs pretty fast even on dial up. __________________ -Rob | | | 10-09-2003, 10:04 AM | #3 | | Registered User Join Date: Oct 2003 Posts: 23 | I rock norton all the way | | | 10-09-2003, 11:19 AM | #4 | | Senior Member Join Date: Oct 2003 Posts: 327 | symantec corporate edititon has been awsome for me. Its a beast | Personally I use Fix It ultilites. But Norton is awesome, excluding the fact they *stole* my last name ;). It doesn't take much to be better then McAfee. __________________ -Rob | | | 10-09-2003, 02:43 PM | #6 | | Registered User Join Date: Oct 2003 Location: Miami, FL Posts: 18 | I use Norton System works 2003. But with all do honesty, if you want the stability and reliability that apache can offer you, install it on a linux/unixx/freebsd machine. :D | | | 10-12-2003, 09:00 PM | #7 | | Registered User Join Date: Oct 2003 Location: Madison, CT Posts: 21 | Yeah, Windows doesn't want to run Apache, nor does Apache seem like a good fit for Windows. I mean, really, Windows doesn't even want to run anything besides Microsoft programs, and those it runs tenuously at best :-) | | | 12-18-2003, 12:49 AM | #8 | | Administrator Join Date: Dec 2003 Posts: 134 | apache on windows is usually very unstable just because they usually don't spend alot of time on the conversion. Never had a problem, but I just use it for a development server. I must admit if you're going to do a production server on a windows machine you might as well use IIS. __________________ -Rob | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Rate This Thread | | | Posting Rules | You may not post new threads You may not post replies You may not post attachments You may not edit your posts HTML code is Off | | | All times are GMT -7.
