| how to configure linux to always use analog sound output? All, if've now been trying to configure Suse 9.0 to use my normal analog output jacks of my mainboard for days. I noticed that if I use the AlsaMixerGui and play around with the settings "PCM" and "Monitor" I can switch the usage of the digital output on and off. Since the digital output is not configurable in its volume and I don't want to use further equipment I really have to get analog up and running somehow. So is there anybody that can give me a hint how to set up Suse to use the analog output? Within XP I could reconfigure the Speaker settings which gave me the desired result. Is there a way in Linux to do the same there? The mixer doesn't give me the options to do so. BTW: My mainboard has a SIS 7012 audio chipset. Any help is appreciated! TIA, Sogge |
