sendmail MX issues 8.12.10 - Talk Root - PC Hardware, Software and Web Development forums

I can send email to other systems also I can send and receive email with
full domain name plus hostname
EXAMPLE jsmith@email.somedomain.com works Send & Receive
jsmith@somedomain.com does not work # I can
send email out with this address but it will not accept the email.
Is their something in the config of sendmail that you have to add MX
support??????
I didn't think so but I can't figure it out.

Did you add an MX record to your DNS primary zone file like the following?

.somedomain.com IN MX 10 email.somedomain.com.

If that's been done, what error messages (if any) are showing up in /var/adm/messages or /var/log/messages?
