Re: Slighty OT - Anybody use the Barracuda Spam Firewall?

Andy,

We wanted to use it but went with Spam Marshall
(http://www.spammarshall.com) instead. Here is why:

* Baracuda won't filter outbound emails
* They won't sell their software. You have to buy the machine from them,
which I think is just running Linux and Sendmail.
* It was more expensive
* Spam Marshall's reporting is very nice.

We just got a Barracuda 400 in this week. I must say I'm pretty
impressed with it thus far. The scoring rules are extensive and the
interface is dirt simple. We've got it in testing right now and plan
on rolling it out to production in a couple of weeks. It is nice to
have a self contained unit that doesn't add to our system maintenance
load here. Firmware, spam, and virus definitions automatically
update. Support has been decent so far.

Danko
