any new good anti virus?

hello can anybody help me... pls give me idea on new anti virus software that is free and not a trial version? my pc is prone to virus and i dont have a budget to buy a new one yet.. pls share to me ideas.. thanks!

yes, kaspersky is really great and i'm actually using KIS2009 and so far so good.... bitdefender is also great but it uses too much memory causing your system to be a 'lil bit slower especially if you don't have that much memory installed.
