Larger Screen for my GPS

Would it possible to open up my handheld GPS reciever and splice wire(s) and
connect them to a 7" auto color monitor? Has anyone done this and if so,
would you please share the details involving this task.
I have a Magellan Sportstrax color GPS.

Thanks,

I am so temped to say how dumb this question is, but I understand not
everyone has even basic knowledge of electronics. Your GPS software was
designed to drive a certain type and size of screen. Even if you
successfully hard wired a different screen to the GPS... how is the GPS
going to drive this screen? Your better of finding a cheap GPS with NMEA
output and use a laptop computer.

Never say never. I'm pretty sure that if he was properly motivated, this
guy could do what the other guy was asking. ;)
