When I see a Blue Chart for sale and they say that it has 1 unlocking
code.....unlock what? Is this not a CD that you can browse.as in I would
like something to look at before I even think of going there. But if I go
there I would have a mental picture of what to look for, beside relying on
my GPS

Garmin Bluecharts must be unlocked for the Zone and the GPS.
Garmin allows you to unlock the Bluechart Zone for two GPS
units for one individual.

From your post and IMHO, you need to look to a different
software package, Bluecharts will not do what you want.

The blue chart CD contains many chart (map) sets.
When you buy the CD you get one unlock key to unlock ONE set.
You can then buy another unlock key to open up further sets as required.
To see what the map set contains B4 buying or unlocking, go to the Garmin
website and look at the page for the product you want and you can view a
list of the maps that the set contains. (You cannot view the maps)

Alright, I got that straightened out. Now is there a place to buy other keys
to unlock another portion of the CD maps or do you HAVE to go through
Garmin?

Gps resellers can sell you a unlock key but as you have to get onto Garmins
website to get the key activated, you might as well just buy it online from
them..

But I find resellers alittle cheaper than Garmin........$116.00 just to
browse an area you might not even go to....
