Google is your friend. All you had to do was do a Google Groups
search of the archives of the sci.geo.satellite-nav newsgroup
or the alt.satellite.gps newsgroup for a properly spelled
version of your subject line:
glue problem on the vista
and you would have found lots of on-topic results.

Who knows, you might even have found the thread in
sci.geo.satellite-nav that started 4 days ago titled
Garmin Etrex: rubber band problem

> Posted in other nav groups.

Please learn how to properly post a question to more
than one newsgroup:

If they do, I just hope there's no backlash from it.
That would be a reel disappointment.

Helpful info was given! But perhaps phrases like "all you had to do
was.."; "who knows, you might even have found.."; or "properly spelled
version.." may be received in a less then positive way, thereby
discouraging further participation, as indicated by the guys response.
I thought his post to 2 logical groups was short, friendly, and
reasonable .. Best regards, Jim

Thanks for that Jim, I'm glad my ham fisted way of using NG's didn't annoy
