Anybody have a Compaq LJ600 or Lexmark Z22-32 driver that works?

Hey Gang,

Took another shot at getting my Compaq LJ600 (a rebranded
lexmark Z22) to work under CUPS ... same problem, one
document prints and the printer goes into a tight loop where
the lights blink and a power cycle of the printer is
required to start the next job. This happens whether the
printer is attached locally, or as a shared printer on an
another (NT) machine.

I always figured that I must be doing something wrong, until
I clicked the Info tab on the default driver 'Lexmark Z22
(Foomatic + lxm3200)' it said and I quote: 'You have to turn
off and on the printer after the job has finished.' Well,
that does explain a lot.

So, what I'm wondering is: Is there anybody out there who
can either point me in the direction of a driver that works,
or at least give me some idea what (and how) I'd have to
tweak in the existing driver to get things working?

Thanks in advance,
MikeD
