hi..
i used the yum command first time to update mozilla but it seems to
getting the headers of all the packages & it takes much time ..
what's the reason? can i get the update for a particular package
without getting the info. abt. anyother packages?

Let it go through it. When you run yum for the first time, it checks all the
packages for possible updates or something. It takes a while, but it only
does it once.

Only the first time 'yum update' takes very much time (sometimes hours).

'man yum' for more info to update an individual package (yum update
packagename)
