Default problem printing graphics on gantt chart

I have been asked to provide a shading behind numerous activity bars on my gantt chart (much like cell shading in excel). I have used the Drawing tool to place large rectangles behind groups of related activity bars. The background shading appears in the correct location on the screen. When I print, the rectangles are much smaller and do not appear behind the appropriate activity bar groups.

I have tried anchoring the rectangle to the top-most activity in the group. Still no luck.... It looks like the description cells on the left side of the printed sheet have had their row height increased but the drawn rectangles have not been increased by the same amount.

Can someone provide some suggestions to fix this?

Many thanks...

Bob, Ottawa
