Default Make Word Documents Private

Hello-
Anyone know how to make a word document private or locked
down so if i lose my pocket PC the document cannot viewed.
If possible please contact me by email, otherwise a post
is ok.
Thanks
April

Either you enable the password on the complete Pocket PC
(through Settings), to protect all info, or go a step further
and use encryption like Sentry CE
(http://www.softwinter.com/sentry_ce.html) could provide you.

The idea of newsgroups is to share information. Replying to personal email
means others do not get the chance to benefit from answers, add to them, or
point out problems. You have managed to post to a newsgroup, you should
really come back to see answers too- if you want personal service there are
many consultants out there who offer a personal service for a fee.

There are utilities which can encrypt files. NMS can encrypt all files
including memory cards, or look at www.pocketpcfreewares.com for some other
choices- try encrypt in the search box.

There are some utilities which can encrypt bank account details/pins too, if
that's what your wanting. (eg Passman, which can delete the data after 3
failed attempts at opening the data).

I just remembered one other program that includes encryption, so if you need
a better file manager its worth considering too- Resco file explorer
http://www.resco-net.com/explorer.asp
there's a link to the manual on that page.

It's a good program but $25 is probably a bit much if you only want it for
the encryption abilities
