It is spyware.

Did you check your start folder? After installing 4.1.14, it installed
powerreg scheduler. Thought to be spyware in many circles. I removed
it from my start up folder and the actual file from my profile dir.
Haven't had any problems since.

Kinda tacky if you ask me, especially since we paid for the Palm's to
start with.

Don't think this link is completely up to date since I didn't find
everything it referenced, but my firewall stopped poping up after
doing removing the file and shortcut.
