Re: No Outlook Express on wireless

With my regular network card and modem, I can connect to shawmail and my telusplanet.net email with no problem. After I go wireless, I cannot connect to shawmail, but I CAN connect to telusplanet.net and access my email account from my work. I can also ac
cess my shawmail account from http://webmail.shaw.ca. So I have e-mailed Shaw cable to ask them if there is anything that they can suggest.
As for telnet, it does not appear to work correctly, but I am not sure if I am trying to connect properly.
Thanks for your help Nathan

With the network/modem in place, can you successfully telnet to the shawmail
server(s)? See http://pages.prodigy.net/michael_san...pop3telnet.htm

It would be *immensely* helpful if you included the previous message in all
of your replies, Nathan.

I think that I have the solution you are looking for. If you are connecting to your pop3 account through a router, using the address 'shawmail' is not good enough, because you computer thinks that you are networked to the 'shawmail' address, when you aren't. You just type in shawmail.vp.shawcable.net This should solve your problem.

*edit* Yikes, I never checked the date on the old posts, sorry. Anyway, I think that is the answer to his problems.
