Ah, but here is the question, can you upgrade the Home version (pre-installed on PC) with the XP Pro Full version (vs. the Upgrade Version) without having to deal with creating a new partion and moving/reinstalling your other software? In other words, can
you with the Full Version of Pro, install over/upgrade the existing Home Version, or do you need to start from scratch? |

Hi, Don.
You should be able to perform an in-place upgrade of the operating system over top of itself, without ever having to reconfigure your existing applications. Boot up to Windows XP Home and insert the CD. Automagically, the splash screen should appear with a drop-down box set to upgrade. Choose this and go wild. -- Have a great day!
