Anybody know how you can modify the e-mail status line
under your account name on the Windows XP Welcome Screen? I recently switched my Internet provider and, thus, my e-mail account, but the e-mail status line under my account on the welcome screen continues to display that I have unread messages from my previous e-mail account, and I can't figure out how to get rid of it. Thanks, Jonathan Zell jonathan.zell@comcast.net |

If you no longer have that Hotmail account then don't bother to load Messenger on Windows startup; i.e., go into Messenger and configure it to NOT load on startup. If that doesn't get rid of the e-mail count on the Welcome screen, use the TweakUI program in the Power Toys for Windows XP to disable the option to show e-mail counts on the Welcome screen. -- __________________________________________________ __________ *** Post replies to newsgroup. Download and install tweakui for xp and use its repair mail count feature or
use it to turn the mail count off completely.
