Default Should I get a Mac?

I'm in the market for a laptop computer - and I was considering a MacBook Pro. The only thing is I've used Windows all my life and I'm afraid that if I get the Macbook Pro I might hate the Mac Operating System.

I was hoping for advice or recommendation on this. Do you use a Mac? If so, how does it compare to Windows in your opinion.

Also, isn't Mac due out for a new operating system soon? (so should I wait to buy?)

I too am a windows guy. Being in the printing industry, I have had to use a Mac before. My preference is still Windows. I grew up using it and feel more comfortable using it. There are die hard mac people out there. If you do get a Mac, one negative aspect is having to purchase new software as the windows software won't work.

I was reading an article a few days ago that was talking about how MAC operating system was the same as vista basically. So now you can purchase Windows XP for MAC so you dont have to use MAC OS if you were to get one.. but I dont see the point in getting on if you choose to do that because you can just get a normal computer for much cheaper :)

I think you should just do what you are comfortable with.
