Apple quarter earnings up 70%...again!

Apple reported a 70% gain in market earnings yesterday due to not the iPod or iTunes music Store, as some would maybe expect, but "unexpected growth in sales of both the Mac Mini and new Powerbook G4".

I think this is surprising. Many people doubted the Mini, at least at first, but now it seems like many people are cashing in the 500 bucks to get a Mac of their own. In addition, many people doubted that the new Powerbook G4 would sell well at all (many were asking, where is the Powerbook G5?), but it appears that this didn't concern the main Powerbook-using audience.

Speaking of which, I need a new laptop... just applied for an Apple credit account. ;)
