I also believe that Gateway will go down first. However, I'm still trying to figure out where Microsoft comes into play in all of this? They don't make PC's and unless everyone is comparing Windows to MAC OS (which this thread isn't about) then Apple taking out Microsoft can't even be compared.

Regarding Alienware as well, sure they look nice but I can build a better system for less money that looks very similar to what Alienware provides. I agree with Errant that this really is between Apple, HP, Gateway and Dell. And maybe one or two others that I can't recall at this time. I don't think Microsoft is in the same equation here and Alienware is not the same either. In my opinion... ;)

As far as Dell and Gateway are concerned, I think they are both way off track for clutching this market. Dell has spent too long developing factory processes that produce decent-looking boxes at extremely cheap prices, and so has Gateway. Also, who buys a cow?
Apple will always dominate the higher end market like Farrari does with cars and Ducati does with bikes. I would love to see Gateway die. Dell, is after the businesses that spend bazillions on tech.
