I just installed IIS 5.0 on Windows 2K with ColdFusion MX 6.1. Now, no one can access my web directory folder. The following error comes up:

HTTP 401.3 - Access denied by ACL on resource
Internet Information Services

I know this has something to do with permissions, but I don't know what!! I've set up permissions for the web folder with the site files, I've set up anonymous access in IIS, what else do I need to do? If anyone has any insight to this problem, please h
elp me out!

We had this same problem trying to run ColdFusion scripts on a site, in our case after upgrading from ColdFusion MX (that's version 6) to ColdFusion MX 6.1.

The problem appears to have been solved by adjusting NT permissions to the ColdFusion *program* directory. As a quick and probably ill-advised alternative, you could actually reinstall ColdFusion into a Web-accessible directory.
